Have I ever told you how much I love spas? Maybe since I am a spa business consultant, you already assumed that. But, sadly not everyone loves their job. I love my job! There’s nothing on this earth that I would rather be doing more than helping spas achieve their dreams and the highest level of success possible. I believe in the spa lifestyle, creating a place for consumers to go to escape from their day to day existence. I believe in taking care of our minds, bodies, and spirits so that we all live more fulfilling lives.
This past weekend I took care of myself. I visited one of my favorite spas on earth, the Spa at Norwich Inn in Norwich, Connecticut. As a disclaimer, I may be biased since I’m a former employee of this spa. That was over 12 years ago and I still feel like I’m coming home every time I visit. We all need a place like that, a place where you feel safe, protected, nurtured, and at ease. The Spa at Norwich Inn is that place for me. I am always so graciously welcomed and treated just like family.
I generally stay in one of their villas which I highly recommend because you feel like you’re actually in the country with the birds chirping, waterfall sounds, and no outside distractions. If you visit in the winter, the villas have fireplaces. The spa team will gladly set a fire for you so you can just relax, while maybe drinking a hot cocoa and looking out your French doors at the snow falling. It’s just as beautiful in winter as it is in summer.
I went to the Norwich on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. It was truly magical, as always, just the thing I needed.
They offer many different treatments. I generally select a massage and pedicure. My favorite massage therapist, Steve, performs by far one of the best massages I’ve ever received. I especially enjoy his calm energy.
I encourage you to find the place – your Spa at Norwich Inn – that gives you exactly what you need to restart balance in your life and maintain a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I also know that spa owners want their spa to be their clients’ “Norwich” by creating just the right atmosphere, having highly skilled and engaged employees, and offering irresistible, luxurious treatments. If I can help you find that place – or assist you in creating it in your own spa – give me a call or send me an email.
