So, have you ever had anyone ask you if you wanted to be known as unreliable? Sort of hurts your feelings if someone considers you unreliable, don’t you think?
You see, I acknowledge, that to be the best me I need help wading through the muck. We all have muck. You know the stuff that stands in our way from allowing us to be the best version of ourselves. I have a very reliable, trustworthy and dynamic life and business coach. He’s a Tony Robbins prodigy and helps me wade through the muck that prevents me from being the best person I can be.
Well, you know how we often treat those we love the worst since we’re most comfortable with them and trust that they’ll love us know matter what? Well that’s my life coach as well. I often miss phone calls because I’m so caught up in my own minutia that I can’t get out of my head long enough to discuss the problems that I’m working through. Sometimes I figure if I just keep it inside and then I can work through it rather than make it a reality. The reason why I’m telling you this because I think we all get stuck in our own head sometimes and lost in thoughts and fears that prevent us from being the very best people and leaders that we can be.
I’m a business coach. I help spa owners, managers, and directors wade through their muck and be the very best leaders they can be. My clients need a business coach and I need one, too. And so does my coach. Guess what? The bottom line is that we all need someone outside of our personal situation to help us navigate through our thoughts and get out of our heads – and this muck – before it impacts our employees and our businesses.
Have you ever left an employee’s question unanswered? Have you ever not returned a voicemail message for week? Have never promised to do something and let it slip your mind? You’re busy right? You have a million things on your mind like all of us. If you’ve ever been in one of these situations, you, too, may have been considered unreliable, even if for just a moment.
The point of my blog today is to acknowledge – and I hope you acknowledge too – that we all sometimes need a coach. If you’re running a spa business and have ever felt that you needed to speak with someone outside of your daily life, send me an email or give me a call for a complementary chat. You might be surprised at the amount of help an objective “outsider” can provide. There’s no shame or weakness in admitting that sometimes we need someone else to just talk things through with.
My personal goal is to live the life that I meant to live and be the person that I meant to be. That is my wish for you as well!
